Quick Answer
Hold sprint (Shift) and dash (Q) in the direction you want to go. Clean 45° diagonal dash input reaches peak speed for closing gaps and escaping pressure. Around fences, school walls, and corners, use wall routes to break line of sight. Measure your ping before advanced timing drills and keep a safety margin on high-ping servers.
Movement Tech — Text Walkthrough
No verified dedicated movement/dash tutorial video exists. The priority table and input drills below cover the full technique in text.
Movement Priorities at a Glance
| Skill | Grade | What it does | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Diagonal Dash | S | Peak speed from clean 45° input alignment | Closing gaps, escaping pressure |
| Wall Route | A | Route control around walls and corners | Breaking line of sight |
| Latency Margin | A | Input timing adjusted for ping | Safe resets on high-ping servers |
Grades reflect practice priority based on tested gameplay input behavior, not parser-verified item stats.
1. Diagonal Dash — Peak Speed
The single most important movement skill. Hold sprint and dash at a clean 45° angle for gap close and escape.
Practice Drill
- Hold Shift to sprint.
- Dash (Q) diagonally — a clean 45° input reaches peak movement speed.
- Chain: sprint → dash → sprint → dash. Keep the rhythm even.
- Practice against a wall to feel the angle difference between straight and diagonal dashes.
- In sparring, use diagonal dash to close the gap on taller, longer-range opponents.
- Gap close: diagonal dashes break straight-line predictions.
- Escape: diagonal dash out of a corner resets the fight more reliably than backing away.
- Practice alignment: W+A / W+D / S+A / S+D combinations, not a single directional press.
2. Wall Routes — Break Line of Sight
Route control is a practical skill. Use the schoolyard structures to reset enemy tracking and escape chase pressure.
- Circle fences and corners so enemies lose your angle mid-chase.
- Reset combat and repath around walls when your dash i-frames run out.
- Work the whole schoolyard: the school block, fences, and the town shops all create useful corners.
- Break line of sight before healing or switching stance to force the opponent to re-commit.
3. Latency-Aware Timing
Your ping changes which movement inputs are safe. On a high-ping server, tight reset attempts are much more likely to fail.
- Measure your ping before advanced practice.
- On high ping, add a safety margin instead of attempting frame-perfect chained dashes.
- Take the reset when timing is comfortable, not when it is barely possible.
- Combine sprint + dash aggressively on low-ping servers, and switch to positioning on high-ping ones.
