Optimal Height per Fighting Style
Boxing
Tier S|ShortFast attacks + small hitbox enable relentless pressure. iFrame M2s (Untouchable) make you invincible during heavies. Perfect Reflex reduces M2 cooldown to 1s on perfect block. Opponents cannot land hits on a tiny target that phases through attacks.
Wrestling
Tier S|TallGrab range scales with height. Takedown M2 slam deals 1.5x damage. Heavy Hitter III MAX (+15% guardbreak). Best Resilience in the game (55%). Tall builds make every grab more threatening and every slam more devastating.
Kure
Tier S|Medium (5'8"-5'9")M2 headbutt (Takedown) needs enough reach to grab, but Concussive slam combos require speed. Medium balances both while Last Stand (+15% at 25% HP) works at any height.
Muay Thai
Tier A|MediumVersatile all-rounder. Crushing Force II (+15% posture dmg), Guard Pierce V (30% - best in game), Resilience V (55%). Medium height keeps your options open for both pressure and defense.
Karate
Tier A|MediumSteady Nerves (+15% posture regen after perfect block) and Balanced Strike (M2 refunds 25% posture at low HP). Medium height lets you play reactively without commitment.
Capoeira
Tier A|ShortGinga reduces dash cooldown by 25% - best mobility in the game. Short build makes you even harder to catch, amplifying the evasive playstyle. Weird M1 animations become nearly unreadable.
Hakari
Tier B|MediumMomentum Rush needs a full M1 combo to activate (M2 deals 3x for 7s). Medium gives enough speed to land combos without sacrificing follow-up damage.
Basic
Tier B|AnyCounterstrike (+5% after perfect block) and Swift Recovery (+15% posture regen) work at any height. Basic is the definition of versatile.
Slugger
Tier C|TallUnstable (+30% dealt, +10% taken) makes every stat count. Tall builds maximize the damage bonus while the extra HP partially offsets the defense penalty. Very slow attacks need the range.
Taekwondo
Tier WIP|MediumQuickstep (50% dash cooldown reset after hit) rewards aggressive movement. Medium height supports the dash-heavy hit-and-run playstyle.
Bulky
Tier WIP|TallPosture pressure tank with Crushing Force I and Heavy Hitter I. Tall build amplifies the tank fantasy with more HP and damage.
Variant
Tier WIP|MediumBalanced jack-of-all-trades. Medium height keeps all options open.
Wild
Tier WIP|AnyDisorientating M2s work regardless of height. Chaos is universal.
Wingchun
Tier WIP|ShortSwift Hands (+12.5% M1 speed, -5% damage). Short build amplifies the speed fantasy for maximum pressure with fast but weak strikes.
Sky Gaolang
Tier WIP|MediumLimited perk data available. Medium is the safe bet.
How to Choose
Pick Short if: You like aggressive pressure, getting inside the opponent's range, and overwhelming with volume. Boxing, Capoeira, and Wingchun are your styles.
Pick Tall if: You like controlling space, punishing whiffs, and dominating the grab game. Wrestling, Slugger, and Bulky are your styles.
Pick Medium if: You want flexibility, the ability to adapt to any situation, or are still learning. Kure, Muay Thai, Karate, Hakari, and Basic all thrive at medium.
Important Notes
- Height stacks with style damage modifiers. A tall Slugger (+30% dealt) with height damage bonus hits extremely hard but is very fragile.
- Conversely, a short Wingchun (-5% dealt) with height penalty hits very weak but attacks extremely fast. The damage penalty compounds.
- Height is free to reroll - try different heights with the same style to feel the difference.
- Extreme heights (6'11" max, or minimum) have the most pronounced stat differences. Average heights (~5'6"-5'10") stay close to baseline.
- Ethnicity limits your height range. If you want to play tall, roll African ethnicity. For short, aim for Indian.
